May is fast approaching and I’m seeing stores which are bargaining gifts for Mother’s Day. So I started thinking what I’d give my mom, who’s always been there despite the many times I asked her to leave me alone. Okay so now, I’m going to cry.
When I was in college, I loved giving her flowers for Mother’s Day. Her favorite were tulips. Always, she’d hug and thank me for remembering. But ever since I started working for a company, I started spending lesser time with my family, in some cases; I don’t see them months at a time. I was a little depressed last Mother’s Day because I couldn’t go home and give my mom her favorite flowers.
But this year is different, because now, I’ll also be greeted by a little baby girl. I’m planning to spend more time with my mom so I can learn to be a great as she was with me. We’ll probably have a picnic with the whole family and we will bring one of those cute Mother’s Day baskets they sell at www.1800flowers.com. I’ll probably cook some of her favorite dishes and maybe get ice cream. After all, its Mother’s Day and everybody loves ice cream.
